Context
In the future when we look back on today, how would we describe the pandemic? What version of history would we tell?
“A Message from the Future” tells a perspective-changing story about the times we are currently living in. Painful, scary, and upending lives around the world. Yet it is in our darkest hours when we see what matters most – our families. This was the year of the pandemic, but also the year of family.
Execution
In a departure from Jollibee’s usual campaigns, the film adopts a sombre and realistic tone, but gives way to hope as the family found comfort in each other. It’s a transition highlighted through the progression in colour treatment and aspect ratio. The film starts in a 4:3 format in black and white, and slowly transitions to a sharp digital anamorphic image, allowing us to visually bring the audience between two periods of time.
Filmed in New York, this three-minute film shows that Jollibee is not just a Filipino icon, but an icon that can travel and thrive anywhere because the themes are as true in Queens, as they are in Manila, as they are in London. Spreading not just to the Filipino diaspora worldwide, but beyond.

An investigative mockumentary show featuring the Philippines’ most controversial, self-proclaimed investigator. We follow Tom dela Cruz as he combs the whole Netflix realm in pursuit of unshakeable Filipino truths.
Show Synopsis
A hawk-eyed investigative journalist conducts his own brand of investigation to uncover the Filipino truths behind the Netflix universe.
Using unknown science, random logic, and expert imagination, he examines a lineup of Netflix shows and cast across different episodes. Each of them closing with one solid conclusion – everyone is Filipino. Beyond reasonable doubt.
Insight
By blood, by proximity or by forced association, there has to be some way all Filipinos are connected – even to the biggest stars on Netflix. Because there’s a Pinoy in all of us. And we mean all of us.
THE SETUP
YOU is a story of duality, featuring Joe Goldberg who switches between a romantic bookshop clerk and a creepy stalker. He does everything to ‘protect’ people, including trapping them inside a glass cage in his bookshop’s basement.
The task: promote the show in Manila through a fan event with Penn Badgley and Shay Mitchell.
THE LURE
The iconic bookshop recreated in Greenbelt Makati.
Behind the fan meet-and-greet is a secret to trap unsuspecting victims into a glass cage, where they get up-close with Penn and Shay. It’s two sides of the story experienced on two sides of the stage.
